I-MEX were appointed to deliver the complete Mechanical and Electrical services to 144 prestige apartments in Bethnal Green for award winning developer Higgins Homes PLC. I-MEX have achieved very efficient progress on site by extensive use of our in-house off-site fabrication facilities and close coordination with other trades.
The mechanical and electrical installations to the mix of Private Sale, Affordable Rented and Shared Ownership apartments included the following services:
- Energy centre with 1.5 MW gas fired boilers and CHP plant – fully pre-fabricated in our own I-FAB off site facilities and installed on-site by I-FAB fitters
- Cold water storage tank and cold water booster set with dedicated CAT 5 break tank booster sets to communal areas
- Primary heat network distribution pipework and boosted cold water distribution pipework – fully pre-fabricated in our own I-FAB off site facilities and installed on-site by I-FAB fitters
- Above ground soil and vent stacks in HDPE with both electrofusion and butt welding techniques
- Complete external powder coated aluminium rainwater downpipes including facades and balcony cascade systems
- Cavity drainage sump pumps, controls and discharge pipework
- Heat Interface units and heating distribution pipework to all apartments
- Hot and cold domestic water services pipework installation to all apartments
- Thermal insulation to all pipework installations
- Sanitary ware and brassware to all bathrooms and cloakrooms
- uPVC soil and waste installations to all apartments
- Electrical sub mains installations
- Electrical small power and lighting installations to communal and external areas
- Complete electrical installations to all apartments
- IRS, BT and Hyper optic infrastructure wiring
- Access control and CCTV installations
- AOV smoke ventilation controls and equipment and Automatic Fire Detection installation to all communal areas incorporating corridor environmental control
